Cerebrovascular Ultrasound

Objective: hands-on experience in transcranial Doppler, carotid duplex, and monitoring procedures on patients with various cerebrovascular diseases.  Seminars are given on interpretation of ultrasound findings and comparison to MRI/MRA, standard angiography CT, SPECT, etc. with special emphasis on neuro-critical care, stroke treatment and prevention.


Duration: available in sessions of 2-5 working days
Time: Scheduled individually throughout the year
Enrollment: 2 registrants per group (individual hands-on studies)

Clinical Setting: 24-bed Neuro-Intensive Care Unit, Stroke Treatment Program, and Out-patient Stroke Prevention Clinic
